What data we collect

Through the forms on this website we collect only the data you give us: your first name and surname, email address, telephone number and the content of your message.

We do not collect special category data (health, ethnic origin, beliefs), nor do we carry out profiling or automated decision-making.

Why we use it and on what legal basis

• To answer your enquiry about classes, timetables, events or prices. Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form.
• To manage your enrolment and your relationship as a student of the studio. Legal basis: performance of the contract.
• To send you news about new seasons, workshops and studio events. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

If you would rather not receive news, just let us know by email and we will stop sending it. We do not use your data for any other purpose.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to deal with it and then for a maximum of one year, in case you get in touch again. Student data is kept for as long as the relationship with the studio lasts and, once it ends, for the periods required by tax and accounting law.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or pass on your data to third parties. It is only accessed by the providers we need for the website to work, acting as data processors:

• Our web hosting provider, where the site database is stored.
• Akismet (Automattic Inc.), to filter spam messages from the forms. This may involve a transfer of data to the United States, covered by the safeguards provided for in the GDPR.
• Our email provider, to receive and reply to your messages.

Minors

We teach classes to children. Under Spanish law, children under fourteen cannot give consent themselves: it must be given by a parent or legal guardian. For that reason, the forms on this site must be completed by an adult.

Images of children are published on the website and on our social media with the prior written consent of their parents or legal guardians, who may withdraw it at any time by emailing us at rooftop.uds@gmail.com.

Your rights

You may exercise the following rights at any time by writing to rooftop.uds@gmail.com, stating which right you wish to exercise and attaching a copy of your identity document:

• Access: to know what data of yours we hold.
• Rectification: to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure: to ask us to delete it when it is no longer needed.
• Objection: to object to a particular use of your data.
• Restriction: to ask us to pause processing while a complaint is resolved.
• Portability: to receive your data in a format you can reuse.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

If you believe we have not dealt with your request properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es), C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access or misuse, including regular backups and an encrypted HTTPS connection.
